Venice.

Hello,, I just returned from Venice yesterday. It was completely different that anything I've seen. (Mom,, Fred) imagine that little Italian place we go in Venice,, CA occasionally. It was was that times ten. But same look and type of feel. There were gondolas everywhere! I wanted to ride one but couldn't manage to get a group together. Its 100 euro a ride,, but you can fit 6 people so 18 or so a piece but no one was in on it. I went to the beach there too. The water there is so calm it was just like a lake. It was very neat. Now Im back in Florence and in my first day of actual ART classes. The assignment was to re-create an old masters painting. I know my teacher very well from back home and she appreciates creativity. So i took a leap. Ill post a picture. Til next time. Ciao.

Cinque Terra

I went to Cinque Terra on a guided tour day trip. We visited all five beaches by train because they are all connected by tunnel. The beaches are super pretty. They were wild beaches ,, similar to monterrey or laguna. I went inyo the water there but only up to my knees because i didnt want to face the 3 hour train ride back wet and uncomfortable. Ciao.

Assisi.

Hello All. I just got back about an hour ago from the field trip to Assisi. It was a small,neat and extremely pretty place. The trip was just one night but that was fine because i walked the length of the entire town in just over an hour. I visited the church where Saint Francis spent most of his time. Inside the church is also his crypt and the hut he used to preach in before the church even existed. Its my understanding that they built the church around hishut. His hut was not as attractive in the day but it has been dressed up since. You are not supposed to snap pictures in the church or one of the workers will come and ask you to put your camera away. Well, i snuck just one picture of his hut with my phone and didn't get spotted! Anyways I am off for now. Its 5pm here and i still have a half day to go out and venture around. Tomorrow i will be going on a private trip to a beach city called Cinqua Terra. I am going with some people of my study abroad group, it just isnt a program sponsored event. Bye for now. CIAO :)

Hello From Afar.

Hello. I am posting this blog after many requests from family and friends who are interested in what i am doing overseas. I will try to post as often as i can, as i have limited access here in Florence. Their internet connections are at times slow and inconsistent.
